Our spirits are bright 
The time is right 
The new world awaits 
There's fire in our hearts 
Things are fine 
We enjoy our time 
But change is on our minds 

So eat your breakfast whole 
While you fill the dog's water bowl 
And kiss your wife goodbye 
Hug your children tight 
I know you'll miss them so 
But it's time to go 
So take a breath and hold your own 

I try to imagine the new life we'll meet 
If there is any at all 
I hope they are kind 
With fitter technology than mine 
A library full of magic untold 
And ethics they embrace and uphold
